Container is unloaded!

What a whirlwind. Literally 50 hours after we got the call on Monday that the container was being released from customs, it is officially unloaded completely! Jeff called this afternoon to say it is finished and now there is a lot of work to be done. Some much needed items will be picked up and transported to Jacmel for Freedom Grace Orphanage as they move forward with the construction of their new building. Jeff and Marv will be delivering beds, matresses, other furniture and supplies to the Good Samaritan boys orphanage. They will be setting up beds, furniture, and supplies for the girls at Good Samaritan.
I have to step outside of my reality for a moment when I write this because setting up beds for my own children is completely different from anything these children have known. My kids have always had a bed, their own bed with sheets and covers and a pillow. The children at Good Samaritan eat and go to school because of the sponsorships here partnering with the Cazeaus, but this has never been a reality for them. These beds represent so much. A new beginning. People here giving more time, resources, and love is the beginning of a new day for these children as they move out of what was and into what will be with this partnership providing hope for a better future. THANK YOU to those who have helped provide supplies, furniture, funding, talents, sponsorship, and to those who are considering becoming a sponsor in some way, THANK YOU!
Jeff and Marv will also be sorting containers of items for our guest house so we can prepare for teams serving. THANK YOU to those of you who have helped provide items for the guest house to be well equipped so we can serve those who come to Haiti to serve!
Of course there are a few beds, couches, and supplies for our family there too. Our children will be so blessed to come to Haiti to find their beds, toys and things that are special to them they haven't seen in a few months. We are so thankful for those of you who were so thoughtful in making our house in Haiti comfortable and special for our kids.
A lot of work is ahead for the next several days.
We give all our praise to God for HIS hand has been evident in this from the beginning!
Grateful,
Deb
