Jackpot!

So, you saw the picture of food supplies that we had access to. Here is the scoop...

We were linked up with the right guy today on Marv and Doug's venture to the UN compund! He gave them paperwork and sent us to a world food programme warehouse. We were given access to the supplies sent from Mexico and Columbia. No rules, just take anything we want that came from those countires.

So...we have been working in warehouses and trucks all day. We were able to secure enough supplies to equip Troy and Tara to feed their patients for some time. We have also been able to secure some food supplies for all of our orphanages and affiliated ministries.

Tomorrow, we will begin distributing the food supplies to the orphanages, pastors and some families that are a part of our ministry. We will also give some to the refugee community that we have been staying with here.

God, as you know, continues to blow us away. This warehouse is only a few miles from the house of Momma and Poppa. There is a road that connects the warehouse to their street...which is smooth and has no traffic. We have been able to travel with the food supplies virtually out of site of large groups of people. This keeps us from getting mobbed.

Tonight, per our promise, we are headed to sleep over at Good Samaritan (in our own tent). We have NO IDEA what we are in for!!

In poppa's words "we were blessed (today)...we will share the blessings (tomorrow)"

Answered prayers:
*all week God has been answering prayers...thank you all so much for partnering with us and with the guys in praying very specific prayers. We have seen God work miracles over and over since the earthquake!

Please Pray for:
*continued protection and guidance.
*the Haitians to see God at work as the guys interact with them and deliver the food and supplies to them.

  1. You name a lot of orphanages in you posts. Are these children up for adoption? Or are they just cared for by the organizations, but not to be adopted? Where are the 350,000 pre-quake orphans that CNN reports that Haiti has? I'm from Indiana and I've been contacted by a lady who has an appt with Sen. Richard Lugar. She wants to know if I have any contacts with orphanages in Haiti. (I've been to Haiti twice in the past 3 years and we hosted a Haitian child while he had surgery in the states) I LOVE HAITI! This lady wants to know where the pre-quake orphans are at. Most orphanages probably don't have web sites. The ones that do, either the children aren't up for adoption or they are already matched with parents. Can you give me any information about pre-quake orphans?
