Momma Cazeau (the mother of the Good Samaritan) made the three hour drive to Leogane today to check on a orphanage there that we having been helping with food, supplies, and medical care over the past six months. Her findings were that all the kids were alive. The building that housed all 100 children is completely destroyed. The pastor and father of the orphanage told her that he sent all the kids outside to play about 15 minutes before the quake. They do have some food and their well is still functioning. Everyone is sleeping outside with no cover.
I have no words to express my thankfulness to God for His protection over all of our 250 plus children in our orphanages and those we are affiliated with. Now it's our turn to be the hands and feet of Jesus and carry out our mission to help them all with their short and long term relief and stability.
